At LOCO CASTINGS PRIVATE LIMITED (LCPL), we are proud to be the only player within India’s railway infrastructure and products sector with a fully integrated facility for bogie manufacturing. This unique capability allows us to produce raw materials and end products in-house, significantly reducing our dependence on third-party castings. Our integrated approach offers several advantages, including lower logistical expenses, higher logistical predictability, and shorter turnaround times in product manufacture. Additionally, our facility includes a 6.5-meter-long Plano Miller with the capacity of one foundry at Andal, strategically located in East India, to enhance operational efficiency and accessibility.

Foundry

Over the years, LCPL has heavily invested in cutting-edge foundry infrastructure to ensure the highest quality of our products. Our foundry has advanced technologies, including one 5-tonne electric arc furnace, an argon purging system, and a ladle refining system. We also have an electric heat treatment furnace, a quenching facility, a sand preparation plant, and a compact-strength testing laboratory. Our metallurgical and mechanical test laboratories are outfitted with spectrometers, microscopes, impact testers, UTS machines to ensure rigorous quality control. Furthermore, we utilise advanced engineering drawing and design tools, such as 3D modelling and process simulators, and operate CNC plano milling machines with 10-metre-long tables. Our commitment to innovation is further demonstrated through the use of No-Bake Technology and automated shot-blasting machines, ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards.
